Started talking to some people

Well, yesterday was Wednesday and we finally made some head way. We started by contacting the local business owners association. They have set up a meeting for us in a about a week. Then we took just a moment of Pastor Shiell's time at church after dinner and bible study to attempt to get on his schedule. He actually refereed us to Carol McEntyre. Turns out Carol may be able to help us more, also getting on her schedule may be easier then Pastor Shiell. However Mrs. Carol is out of town until Saturday(She is currently away on a missions trip.)
Today is Thursday and we took the day off. My little brother, Nickolaus, had outpatient dental surgery today so I am keeping him company while he rests and recovers from it. He did very well Daddy and Mommy says but he will be a little sore for the next day or two. I, myself, have caught some kind of tummy bug and don't feel well. I am going to rest and relax for the next few days.

Blessings to you and your families,

Koenig

My dream

This is the first post for Koenig. His dream is to collect toy for distribution year round not just at Christmas. He got this wonderful idea last Christmas after we were signed up for the Angel Tree program. He asked us what it was and we explained it to him. Then all on his own he proceeded to gather his good used toys and asked who could he give his toys to. We didn't know who to contact, but after several attempt to reach someone interested we found Jeff Jernigan. Well,Jeff Jernigan at B97.5(a local radio station) in TN interviewed Koenig and made sure that the toys went to good homes.
But it didn't end there. No Koenig wanted to do more. And more he did. First he gave his used stuffed animals to Young Williams Animal Shelter (a local animal shelter). Then he told us of his big plan.
He wanted to put large boxes in stores all over the world so that people could donate their new or used but unbroken toys for children everywhere. He said it didn't matter what the toys were as long as they still were in good enough shape to play with. (We are sure that he wanted the toys to be safe to play with also.) Then anybody who had a child no matter where they were could sign up(he didn't know how they could do this - but we are leaning towards a website or through local charity groups) and get a toy sent to their child for birthdays, Christmas, or what ever the occasion might be. He said that we would get local churches to volunteer to wrap gift and then we'd be able to ship them out to children everywhere. He said that this is what GOD told him to do. So now it's up to us to help his dream become a reality.
What are we going to do? Well...
We plan to meet with various people in the community to get his dream up and running. We are going to be contacting the local media as well as local churches in the area.
We will post tomorrow night and let you all know how it is going.

God bless you and your families...

Koenig
